GRASS VALLEY, Calif. - Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France winner, is possibly coming to race in the Nevada City Classic this Sunday, says race organizer Duane Strawser.
It's "down to logistics," according to Armstrong, via Twitter late Monday night.
Armstrong's manager gave Strawser a call earlier Monday, looking to get set up with a charter flight into Grass Valley.
"They want to come do the race, they just happen to be close enough this year," Strawser said.
Armstrong is currently in Aspen, Colo., training with his Astana race team. And he'll still need to get permission from his team manager for the final greenlight, Strawser said.
