(Continued from Sunday) The officers present when the man entered the office were, Sheriff Hill, Officer Duncan and District Attorney Driesbach. "I know it!" cried Sheriff Hill, "the tar bucket has been agitated so much that the people have been aroused, and are going to take some disparate steps to rid the town of bad characters. Well boys, let's take a drink, and then we'll go and disperse the mob." (Continued tomorrow)

The report that a blizzard raged on Carson Street about seven o'clock this morning was a base slander on this community's enviable climate and weather. What those unfamiliar mistook for snow was only feathers from Arlington Hotel pillows that some early-morning celebrating guests loosed in the breeze. One awakened guest at the hotel was determined to join the street fun. But he was out of luck, for wife took firm unyielding possession of his trousers. The luckless gent shouted earnest pleas for some kind of friend to bring him a pair of pants.

Carson City School Board trustees have named Fritsch Vice Principal Nellana DeGraff the Corbett School's new principal. She will be the first official principal of the school since 1982. At one time the board had considered closing Corbett down.
