UPDATE: Child found after Amber Alert issued following child abduction in Yreka

The Redding.com is reporting that the missing 3-year-old Yreka girl, Francis Collins, has been found unharmed, along with the alleged abductor Kody Kaplon.

Police Lt. Dave Gamache says 22-year-old Kody Lee Kaplon surrendered Monday afternoon after calling an Amber Alert hotline. He denied abducting Frances Ann Collins.

"Frances Ann Collins was found this afternoon by police, and authorities are working on canceling the Amber Alert issued this morning for her alleged abduction.

The girl is being sent to the hospital for an examination, said a Yreka Police Department spokeswoman.

The 3-year-old was found in Siskiyou County, but the spokeswoman said she didn't know the exact location where the girl was found.

Kody Lee Kaplon was arrested this afternoon near his hometown of Hornbrook, California Highway Patrol spokesman Rick Landrum said."

YREKA, Calif. " Authorities have issued an Amber Alert after a three-year-old girl was abducted during a burglary in Yreka this morning.

Authorities say Francis Ann Collins was abducted during a home burglary.

The little girl is described as three-feet tall, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a tie dyed T-shirt.

Police have identified a suspect in the case as 22-year-old Kody Kaplon.

He is described as weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes.

He's believed to be driving a green Pontiac Grand Am, with California license plate 3WKA651.

Yreka is on Interstate 5 north of Mount Shasta, Calif.
