Etta Joy Peterson Mauer passed away Feb. 16, 2009. She was 89, and was a resident of Carson City for thirty-seven years.
She was born in Park City, Utah Nov. 8, 1919. Joy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a homemaker. She loved music, reading, crocheting, and doing embroidery. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard F. Mauer in 1997. Among her survivors are three children RaNae from Arizona, Dale and Wayne of Carson City; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service was held Feb. 19, 2009.
Walton's Chapel of The Valley was in charge of arrangements.
