Carson City detectives are looking for people who have had dealings with a man who claims to practice a form of Chinese healing massage called Chi Nei Tsang.
Carson City Sheriff's Detective Dena Lacy said a 56-year-old woman reported in February that she had been a client for about eight months when the man allegedly sexually molested her during a session in her home.
The man's name is being withheld because no charges have been filed.
During an interview last week with an investigator, the man allegedly admitted he had "sexually touched" the woman as part of the healing massage known as Chi Nei Tsang, a Chinese healing method of stomach massage that is intended to clear "blockages" and guide energy into other parts of the body.
He said the woman consented to the touching and it was necessary to find a pressure point. He also allegedly placed her hand on his groin.
Lacy said the man has had similar allegations against him in California, Washington, Oregon, Utah and New Zealand, but no charges have been filed.
Lacy also noted that the man is not licensed to run a business in Carson City.
"If anyone had any contact at all with this person, please call me," said Lacy.
Lacy can be contacted at 887-2020, ext. 41405.
