BAC Stage Kids present "Annie"

The BAC Stage Kids presents "Annie", 7 p.m., Friday, March 20 and 27; Saturday, March 21 and 28 and 2 p.m., Saturday, March 21 and 28 and Sunday, March 22 and 29 in the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 511 W. King St. Annie is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. Capital City Community Band celebrates 30th season

The Capital City Community Band celebrates its 30th season with a children's concert, 3 p.m., Sunday, March 8 in the Boldrick Theater, Carson Community Center, 851 E. William St. The concert is free and features the combined elementary choirs from Fremont, Fritsch, and Seeliger Elementary schools. The clarinet ensemble for Carson Middle School and Richard Long, baritone horn will also perform. For information, call 883-2219.

Purchase your raffle ticket to win your choice of a 2009 Toyota Corolla or 2009 Ford Focus to benefit the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center. Wylie Animal Rescue Foundations holds cat and kitten adoptions

Wylie Animal Rescue Foundation holds cat and kitten adoptions 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., every Saturday at Petco, 901 Topsy Lane. There are cats of all ages, spayed or neutered with basic shots and microchips. Reasonable adoption fees. For information, call 782-3754.

Douglas County Public Library, Lake Tahoe branch presents Saturday Stories and Crafts, 3 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 233 Warrior Way, Zephyr Cove.
