MEYERS " El Dorado County sheriff's deputies arrested a 30-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman on suspicion of burglary this week after they allegedly found her in the garage of a Meyers home.

At about 5 p.m. on March 3, a neighbor reported finding footprints in fresh snow leading to the garage of a home in the 2800 block of Lodgepole Trail. The neighbor looks after the home while the owner is away, according to a deputy's report.

Deputies arrived at the residence and allegedly found the woman in the garage standing on a stack of three bricks. The woman said "she was working for the government planting evidence against the Russians who lived at the house," according to the report.

The neighbor reported several items in the garage had been moved from their usual locations. Among the moved items were two sleds that had been loaded with several items, including forks and spoons, according to the report.

A burglary had been reported the previous night at the home, and while deputies drove the woman to El Dorado County Jail, she said "the only reason she went back to the house was to return the items she had taken the night before," according to the report.

The woman was booked into jail on suspicion of burglary. She also had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for possession of a controlled substance out of Santa Clara County, according to the report.
