Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- A 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday at Northridge Drive and Russell Way on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on a traffic citation, suspicion of driving without a license, driving without insurance and driving on an expired registration. Bail was set at $2,902.
- Jerome Shadkam, 20, a laborer from Stagecoach, was arrested at 7:18 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of North Saliman Road on suspicion of two felony counts of furnishing drugs to a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. He allegedly smoked marijuana with his 16-year-old brother and 12-year-old nephew. Bail was set at $75,000.
- John Michael Taylor, 34, of Carson City, was arrested at 2:28 a.m. Tuesday on Windridge Drive on two felony warrants from El Dorado County. No bail was set.
- Dale Balderston, 59, of Carson City, was arrested at 5:33 p.m. Monday in the 1900 block of H Street on suspicion of felony burglary. He allegedly took items from the home of an elderly, hospitalized man. Bail was set at $40,000.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:
- Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at 7:36 a.m.
- Report at 9:17 p.m. of guns and drug paraphernalia found in a home from which tenants had been evicted.
- Report at 10:24 p.m. of a 79-year-old man with Alzheimer's who wandered off near Beverly and Karin drives. The man was found 30 minutes later with a "large laceration to the head." He was taken to the hospital.
