LAS VEGAS (AP) " State authorities say they have arrested a former talk show host on charges related to a foreclosure rescue scam.

Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto said Wednesday that Jack Ferm was arrested on two counts of felony theft and one count of deceptive trade practices.

Ferm is accused of running a document preparation business that promised to help strapped homeowners stop foreclosure without having to hire an attorney.

Authorities say Ferm's company, U.S. Justice Foundation, collected thousands of dollars in fees without properly preparing or filing documents on behalf of the clients.

The attorney general says Ferm was moderator of a radio show broadcast from 1994 through 2003.
