NEW YORK (AP) " Freshman Devin Ebanks scored a career-high 20 points to lead scrappy West Virginia to a 74-60 upset of No. 2 Pittsburgh on Thursday night, knocking out the defending Big East tournament champions and advancing to the semifinals for the second straight season.
Alex Ruoff added 18 points and Da'Sean Butler had 16 for West Virginia (23-10), which might be the hottest team in the nation's deepest conference. The Mountaineers have won four of their last five, their lone loss coming to No. 5 Louisville last weekend.
Sam Young scored 15 points to lead the Panthers (27-4), whose chances of securing a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament took a big hit in what had been a friendly venue.

NEW YORK " Syracuse outlasted Connecticut in the second-longest Division I game ever, capping a Big East tournament quarterfinal doubleheader in which the second- and third-ranked teams in the country both lost.
Andy Rautins hit a 3-pointer 10 seconds into the sixth overtime Thursday night, giving the Orange their first lead since regulation and they went on to a 127-117 victory over the third-ranked Huskies.
The game started at 9:36 p.m. and ended at 1:22 a.m EST.
Jonny Flynn had 34 points and 11 assists for the Orange (25-8), playing 67 of the 70 minutes, the most of any player. Paul Harris had 29 points and 22 rebounds, while Eric Devendorf had 22 points and Rautins had 20, all but two on 3-pointers.

Blake Griffin had 17 points and 19 rebounds for Oklahoma.

NEW YORK " Dwayne Anderson's last-second layup " his only basket " fell in as the buzzer sounded.
The fourth-seeded Wildcats (26-6) led by 17 points in the first half, but Marquette took its first lead since the game's early minutes on a 3-pointer by Lazar Hayward that made it 75-74 with 1:40 to play.
Villanova's Reggie Redding dribbled the ball near the top of the key and finally began a move toward the basket with just a couple of seconds left. He found Anderson on the left side of the lane and his layup seemed to sit on the rim for a while before falling through.

OKLAHOMA CITY " LaceDarius Dunn hit six 3-pointers and scored 24 points to help the Bears rally after blowing a 17-point lead.
The three-time defending champion Jayhawks (25-7) dispatched of the deficit quickly and led by five before Dunn fueled a decisive 12-0 run for the Bears (19-13).
Kansas became only the second top-seeded team to lose its opening game at the Big 12 tournament.

The Tigers (26-6) watched regular-season champion Kansas, second-seeded Oklahoma and No. 4 seed Kansas State all fell victim to upsets earlier in the day but used runs of 13 and 10 consecutive points to put away the Red Raiders (14-19).
J.T. Tiller and Matt Lawrence each added 13 points for third-seeded Missouri, which advances to face seventh-seeded Oklahoma State in the semifinals Friday night.
Mike Singletary led the Red Raiders with 17 points, one night after he scored 29 straight Texas Tech points to lead the biggest comeback in Big 12 tournament history. Nick Okorie added 13 points.
The Tigers ended a three-year drought at the conference tournament, winning for the first time since 2005 and setting up only their third appearance in the semifinals.

The Bruins (25-7) advanced today's semifinals against crosstown rival Southern California, a 79-75 winner over California. The second-seeded Bruins swept the sixth-seeded Trojans (19-12) in the regular season.

ATLANTA " Lewis Clinch set a career high with 32 points and last-place Georgia Tech pulled off the first upset of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.
Clinch made five 3-pointers to carry the Yellow Jackets (12-18), who went 2-14 in the ACC during the regular season " including a pair of losses to the Tigers.
