Carson City resident Ronald Longero has been appointed pastor and rector of the recently formed Sierra Anglican Church in Reno.
A native of Carson City, Longero received his masters of divinity degree from Nashotah House Theological Seminary, Nashotah, Wisc., in 1990 and has served congregations in San Antonio, Alice and Midland, Texas, and most recently was chaplain at St. John's Military School in Salina, Kansas. Longero also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He resides in Carson City with his wife and daughter.
Sierra Anglican Church meets at the Mountain View Montessori School 565 S. Zolezzi Lane in south Reno.
Beginning Palm Sunday, April 5, services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the school. In addition, a Good Friday service is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 10.
Sierra Anglican Church in Reno is affiliated with the Anglican Mission in the Americas as part of their Lord of Nations Network in addition to The Association of Western Anglican Congregations.
