Forty members of the Burnt Thigh tribe will attend the premier of Cecil B. De Mille's picture, "Union Pacific." They will pitch tents on a vacant lot next to the Omaha union station, and under the leadership of 88-year-old Chief Black Horn, will participate in four days of festivities arranged by the film company and the city of Omaha.

Bill Crowell wins VFW Essay Contest " Crowell, 17-year old high school senior, was selected as winner of the local essay contest sponsored by Kit Carson Auxiliary. Title of the essay was "The Space Age Challenge to America." He receives $10 and a bronze medal.
