Weather for the Carson City area today will be partly cloudy and cold with highs 39-49 with northwest winds up to 10 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph in the morning.
Tonight, mostly cloudy with lows 22-32 with northwest winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light.
Tuesday, partly cloudy with highs 47-57 with light winds becoming north 10-15 mph in the afternoon.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6 a.m. all roads open with no controls with the following exceptions:
SR 89 " Road closed due to avalanche control for 2 miles between Bliss State Park and 2 miles north of Bliss State Park.
Snowtires or chains required for 1 mile between 14 miles north of Truckee and 15 miles north of Truckee, Calif.
SR 431 " Snowtires or chains required for 14.2 miles between SR 28 and 10.3 miles south of junction Highway 395.
Utility work continues on Little Lane between Saliman Road south Stewart Street, mainly between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., with lane restrictions on Little Lane west of South Roop Street.
Utility work is also being done on North Roop Street from East John to Long streets, and on Corbett street, west of North Roop.
Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, as with East Fifth Street from Saliman Road to Fairview Drive.
Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House has posted lower speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.
