OU recruit arrested in Las Vegas

NORMAN, Okla. " Las Vegas police say an Oklahoma football recruit has been arrested and charged with several criminal acts.

Police say 18-year-old defensive end Justin Chaisson was arrested Tuesday for allegedly assaulting his 17-year-old girlfriend by holding a screwdriver to her neck and threatening her.

Chaisson has been charged with five felonies and two misdemeanors in connection with the allged attack, including assault and battery with a deadly weapon, coercion, false imprisonment and battery domestic violence.

Chaisson played at Bishop Gorman High School, the same high school that produced OU standouts DeMarco Murray and Ryan Reynolds. He was rated as one of the top prep defensive ends in the country and was scheduled to arrive in Norman at the beginning of the summer.
