SANTA CLARA, Calif. " Police say six people are dead after a shooting in a home in an upscale neighborhood in Santa Clara.
Santa Clara police Lt. Phil Cook says officers responding to the home around 8:30 p.m. Sunday found five people dead and two wounded.
One of the initial survivors " an infant girl " died after being taken to a hospital.
Police say besides the infant who died in the hospital, three of the other victims found at the scene were children.
Two adults were dead at the scene, including an adult male who died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The lone survivor " an adult female " is hospitalized with life-threatening wounds.
The names of the victims have not been released, but the shooting appears to be what Lt. Cook called a "family on family, murder-suicide."
