JL: Saturday's win over Colorado Northwestern was your home debut, how nice was it to get out there in front of your home fans for the first time?
KC: It was a great. A lot of fans came out, a lot more than I expected. It was fun to play in front of our crowd.
JL: The winds were gusting up to almost 50 miles an hour while you were on the mound, were there any difficulties playing in those conditions?
KC: Both teams have to play in it, so you just do what you have to do.
JL: Tell me about your pitching repertoire.
KC: I throw a fastball, curve ball, changeup. The fastball is like 86-88 (mph), curve ball is like 79-82 and changeup is like 75, something like that.
JL: So what's your go-to pitch?
KC: Curve ball for sure. I love it.
JL: How long have you been throwing the curve?
KC: Since seventh grade, the same way. Some of these guys have actually adopted it. It's like a spike curve ball, the finger is up, it's hard to explain.
JL: You grew up in Olympia, Wash., what do you like about the area?
KC: I love it there, I can't wait to get back. It doesn't rain as much you think it does and baseball weather's great in the summer.
that's why I love it. And there's no snow there (during baseball season).
