Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- Adam Collier McQuaig, 26, a mechanic from Carson City, was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the 3400 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony home invasion, gross misdemeanor preventing or dissuading a witness from reporting a crime, misdemeanor assault, battery, violation of a suspended sentence and failure to appear on a traffic warrant. Bail was set at $25,000.
- Karen Manzo, 34, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 6:11 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony coercion and gross misdemeanor intimidating a public officer. According to the arrest report, a woman told police she'd received a voice mail message from someone claiming to be with the "Carson City Police Department" and directing her to call Long Beach Police Department because her daughter had been in a near-fatal car accident. The woman said that several months ago, her now-estranged friend, Manzo, showed her a Web site from which one could make untraceable prank calls. According to the arrest report, when Deputy Jessica Rivera contacted Manzo, Manzo initially denied involvement and allegedly coerced her nephew into taking the blame. When the nephew ultimately revealed he'd been coerced, Manzo allegedly confessed her involvement. Manzo's bail was set at $22,500.
- A 29-year-old salesman from Carson City was arrested at 8:22 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of Quinn Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor driving on a suspended license. Bail was set at $1,132.
- Jeffrey Mabry, an inspector from Reno, was arrested at 4:06 a.m. Monday at Carson Street and Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony eluding police, misdemeanor drunken driving and illegal window tint. Bail was set at $16,239.
- An 18-year-old dishwasher from Carson City was arrested at 5:22 p.m. Saturday at Northgate Lane and College Parkway on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to yield to a pedestrian, driving on a revoked registration and driving without a license. He allegedly drove through a crosswalk, nearly striking three small children, which was witnessed by a deputy. Bail was set at $436.
- A 21-year-old hotel manager from Carson City was arrested at 4:19 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of East William Street on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,132.
- A 35-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 9:52 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle and probation violation. Bail was set at $4,132.
- A 34-year-old restaurant manager from Carson City was arrested at 11:42 p.m. Saturday at Robinson and Harbin streets on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving and failure to obey traffic control devices. Bail was set at $1,214.
- A 25-year-old construction worker from Carson City was arrested at 3:28 a.m. Sunday at Roop and Fifth streets on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, driving without insurance and driving on expired tags. Bail was set at $1,931.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
- Report of a drunk driver in the 2700 block of Highway 50 East at 2:55 a.m. When a deputy stopped the vehicle he discovered a road marker lodged underneath it. An arrest was made.
- Report at 6:26 a.m. of two 200-pound Hispanic men eating a meal at Denny's, then leaving without paying the check and getting into a red car waiting around the corner.
- Caller reported her shed door was open and she believed it had been burglarized on Pioche Street at 9:52 a.m.
- Caller reported the dog door was off her door and the bar that keeps her sliding-glass door in place was removed on Grant Street at 10:40 a.m.
- Fire report in Brunswick Canyon at 1:15 p.m.
- Caller on Carson Meadows Drive reported at 3:48 p.m. that he accidentally fired a bullet into his ceiling.
- Coroner call at the Mountain Springs Assisted Living Center in the 2900 block of Mountain Street at 5:26 p.m.
- Coroner call in the 5200 block of Silver Sage Drive at 8:14 p.m.
- Fight report in the 1600 block of Highway 50 East at 2:06 a.m.
- Coroner call at Evergreen Mountainview Healthcare in the 3000 block of North Ormsby Boulevard at 4:41 a.m.

- Arrest at 3:06 a.m. in the 200 block of Logan Lane in Fernley.
- Arrest on Farm District Road at 3:59 a.m.
- Coroner call in the 1200 block of Farm Lane Road in Fernley at 7:03 a.m.
- Report of a rock thrown through a window on Winter Place in Fernley at 10:55 a.m.
