May Louise Norby, 78, a long-time resident of the Carson City area, died March 28, 2009 at her home.
Louise was born April 29, 1930 to Gina and Melford Norby in Davenport, Iowa. After a career as a flight attendant for United Airlines, Louise earned a degree in education. She taught in Salt Lake City, Utah and Carson City before staying home to raise her children. She enjoyed spending time with her family, ballroom dancing, and playing bridge.
Among her survivors are her four daughters and son-in-laws; Nancy Varner (Richard) of Carson City, Sheila Story (Bill) of Dayton, Janet Bicker (Bill) and Elizabeth Carter (Don), both of Sparks and one son, Jim Perry of Yerington, 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A service of remembrance will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
