Edgar Gilbert Carlson, long time resident of South Lake Tahoe, Calif. and
Carson City died April 28, 2009 in Parma, Idaho. Ed was born December
17, 1920 in Oakland Calif. to Charles Gabriel Carlson and Anna Maria
Gustavson. He was the second of five children.
He met Norma Marie Decker at San Francisco City College and was married June 20, 1941. They raised four children. Ed served in the military, owned
various businesses, and served in various callings in the LDS Church to
include Bishop, Stake President and Stake Patriarch. Norma died shortly
after they celebrated their 39th anniversary. After her death, he
married Carma Johnson and added three more children to the family.
He is survived by his wife, Carma of Parma, Idaho; seven children Sharon
and Mike Miller of Utah; Richard A. and Jean of Nevada.; Pamela and Drew Allred of Nevada; Joan and Jerry (deceased) Dressler of Nevada.; Richard H. of Idaho, Robyn of Nevada; Regina and Allen Stevenson of Idaho; 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great great- grandchild.
Viewing will be 7-8:30 p.m., Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N Roop St., Carson City with funeral services 10 a.m. Saturday at the LDS Chapel 1331 McKay Dr., Carson City.
