Patrick Ball and the Medieval Beasts at C.V.I.C.

Carson Valley Arts Council and Wild Horse Productions present Patrick Ball and the Medieval Beasts in concert May 16 at the C.V.I.C. Hall, 1604 Esmeralda, Minden. Cookin' for Kids benefits Food for Thought

Food for Thought hosts "Cookin' for Kids!", 6-8:30 p.m., Friday, May 15, at the Governor's Mansion, 606 N. Mountain St. Sample Sierra Nevada's best restaurants signature dishes as they compete for awards. A silent auction will be available. Tickets are $25 per person. Celebrity docs serve dinner for Cancer Center benefit

Join the physicians of Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, 5 p.m, Saturday, May 9 at Glen Eagles Restaurant, 3700 N. Carson St. as they greet guests, serve and cook dinner, and tend bar to raise funds to benefit the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center. All tips and raffle and auction proceeds will benefit the Cancer Center. Topaz Sagehens rummage sale

The Topaz Sagehens will host their annual rummage sale, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, May 9 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Sunday, May 10 at Topaz Ranch Estates Community Park Building, on Carter Way.
