DM: What's your favorite class in school and why?
KS: Calculus. It's hard as heck and really challenges me, and makes me work hard.
DM: What is your least favorite class and why?
KS: Art. I have to take it and I don't enjoy it.
DM: What is the last book you read for pleasure.
KS: There isn't one since school started. I read Crime and Punishment in my literature class and I liked it.
DM: What is your favorite music?
KS: I like alternative rock. I'm not into the whole rap scene.
DM: Who has been the most influential in your baseball career?
KS: Probably Mr. and Mrs. Fencl. They presented an opportunity for me to play travel ball when I was 14 and that made a big difference in my ability.
DM: Who is your favorute baseball player and why?
KS: Probably Dustin Pedroia because he's a little guy who swings a big stick and plays big.
DM: I wish God had given me ...?
KS: Indestructable knees. This has been my most frustrating season because of the knee injuries.
DM: Are you interested in other sports? I've only seen you play baseball
KS: I played freshman and JV basketball. My knees couldn't take it, and I decided to stick with one sport. Baseball was the sport I wanted to play in college.
DM: Have you met your baseball goals at Carson?
KS: One of them I'll hopefully meet this week. The only goals I've ever had is to win a Sierra League championship, a zone championship and to make it to state. We haven't done any of that yet,
