Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- An 18-year-old carpet cleaner from Carson City was arrested at 3:59 a.m. Thursday at Colorado and Carson streets on suspicion of misdemeanor obstruction of justice and violation of bail conditions. Bail was set at $3,407.
- A 19-year-old carnival worker from Morro Bay, Calif., was arrested at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday at Mills Park on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing an investigation. He allegedly lied to deputies concerning the whereabouts of a 16-year-old runaway from Morro Beach. Officers found the girl as she was driving around in the carnival worker's car. His bail was set at $407.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
- A cab driver reported seeing three women with a baseball bat trying to hit a man on Saliman Road at 5:02 a.m.
- Report of a woman lying drunk behind a liquor store on Carson Street at 11:49 a.m.
- A mother had her elementary school son arrested at 1:35 p.m.
- Accident in the Community Center parking lot involving a city vehicle at 6:01 p.m.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
- Battery report at Dayton High School at 7:54 a.m.
- Commercial burglary report in the 1300 block of Financial Way in Fernley at 8:45 a.m.
- Battery report at Fernley High School at 11:34 a.m.
- Residential burglary report on Wildrose Court in Fernley at 5:10 p.m.
Storey County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
- Report of a car with California tags parked on South C Street in a 15-minute parking space for about three hours.
