John Hester drove in a first-inning run for Reno, but that would be the end of the offensive production for the Aces, as the Nashville Sounds came out with a 7-1 victory Wednesday at Herschel Greer Stadium.

Less than 24 hours after being handed a shutout by the Sounds, Reno jumped out to a quick lead.

With two outs already recorded in the first, Trent Oeltjen singled, stole second and moved to third on an error. That brought Hester to the plate. He singled through the hole at second to chase home Oeltjen for an early 1-0 Aces lead.

Aces starter Hector Amrbiz (0-2) was pinned with the loss, allowing three runs on nine hits over five innings of work.

The series will continue tonight from Nashville. Reno start Cesar Valdez (1-3, 7.48 ERA), and the Sounds will counter with Nick Green (2-2, 4.36 ERA). First pitch from Greer Stadium is set for 5 p.m.

The action can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM.
