Anthony Tony Battaglia, 90, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009, in Medford, Ore. Tony was born Jan. 21, 1919 in New York City, N.Y. to Anthony and Mary Battaglia. Tony lived in Medford, Ore. for about five years, relocating from Carson City.
He was married to Ann Battaglia on April 5, 1942 in New York City, N.Y. He served in the Army Air Corps as a Flight Engineer on B-24's during World War II. He relocated from New York to Southern California in 1954, with his wife and three children. After many years in the aircraft industry, he moved to Carson City, and worked as a Quality Control Manager for Bently Nevada Corporation. Tony's hobbies included painting and golf.
Tony is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ann, son Greg Battaglia (Lin) of Sparks, a daughter Maryann Bray (Bert) of Medford, Ore. and a son Richard Battaglia (Barbara) of Virginia City, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m., Saturday Perl Siskiyou Funeral Home in Medford, Ore.
