POP WARNER TEXAS HOLD 'EM TOURNAMENT
Carson City Pop Warner football and cheerleading will host a poker night fundraiser Friday. You are more than welcome to come down and join the game to see who will be named the Carson City Texas hold 'em champion. All the proceeds benefit the CCPW program to offset registration costs and provide scholarships for participants.

COST: $40 advance, $50 at the door. Includes dinner, one beverage and buy-in.

RIDE THE RAILS
I love to hear the whistling of the train from my backyard " that is when I know summer is right around the corner. Ride the motor car at the Nevada State Railroad Museum starting this Saturday. Beginning May 24 the Nevada State Railroad Museum will be offering the "Your Hand Is On the Throttle" program to aspiring engineers. On most weekend days the steam engine is scheduled for rides. One person has the opportunity to learn how run the locomotive for an hour. It's a great Father's Day gift for the dad who has everything but his own train.

TASTE OF DOWNTOWN
I think this event truly defines us as a town. This year's event will feature new participants like L & L Hawaiian BBQ in the Carson Mall. You can enjoy strolling downtown, listening to eight live bands, visiting with friends and neighbors along the way. You can help this event by sponsoring a band, trolley transportation or put your name on the annual shirts.
