The Douglas Tigers rode a Beau Davis line drive off the left field fence to the first Northern 4A regional tournament championship since 1989.
Davis' hit knocked in a run by Danny King, cinching a 4-3 victory over the Reno Huskies.
The victory won the Tigers a ticket to the state championship game in Las Vegas next weekend.
This is only the second time the Tigers have won a regional title in a major sport in the 29 years they've been in the large school division.
