45 years of local support

DuBois' Health Food Center would like to thank the Nevada Appeal for the wonderful article that was printed in the April 27 edition of the newspaper regarding our 45th anniversary. We would also like to thank the community and all those who came down to celebrate with us. Finally we would like to thank all of our loyal customers over these many years who have supported us to have made such a milestone possible.

Generous contribution makes senior center brighter

The Douglas County Senior Center participants and the Young At Heart Senior Citizens Club would like to thank the Park Cattle Company for their generous contribution which was used to paint the interior of the Senior Center. The center is now a much brighter and more cheerful place for senior activities. Thanks again Park Cattle Company.

ATT Telecom Pioneers go above and beyond

The ATT Telecom Pioneers have outdone themselves for the special education students at Fremont Elementary. On April 10, they brought the balloon animal stylings of Sparkie the Clown to our amazed and appreciative kids.

Instead of hosting their annual Easter Bunny visit, the Pioneers made sure that the kids were thrilled at the impressive array of animals, hats and superheroes that Sparky quickly created from her colorful collection of balloons.

Copious kudos

One word: 'Amazing'

I am writing to encourage the community to go see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.

My husband and I went to see it last weekend (twice) and it is an outstanding production. From the set and music to the colorful costumes, to the professional acting it is a show not to be missed. Stephanie Arrigotti and Gina Kaski-Davis, along with all the actors and the orchestra, out did themselves. One word: "Amazing."
