Elko's Steam Wagon. The Redman Transportation Company steam wagon arrived in Elko. It weighs about 30,000 tons and is geared to run three and a half to four miles an hour, hauling capacity is unlimited - guaranteed to haul forty tons over the mountains from Elko to Tuscarora. Dr. Redman says it is his intention to construct his own road to run his wagons where the topography of the country compels him to use it.
