Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- Christina Venegas, 37, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 11:02 p.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony parole violation. No bail was set.
- Valarie Baxley, 40, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 10:51 p.m. Monday at Long and Molly streets on suspicion of felony possession of a prescription drug without a prescription, drunken driving, violation of a suspended sentence, failure to maintain a lane, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license. Bail was set at $6,503.
- A 23-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 6:31 p.m. Monday in the 3200 block of Market Street on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:
- A man reported at 12:38 a.m. that his girlfriend "hit him in the head with her fists" and wouldn't leave him alone on Harrison Lane.
- Report of a 2006 Cadillac Escalade with license plates NR2836 stolen from the 2100 block of Highway 50 East at 12:29 p.m.
- Residential burglary in the 400 block of West Tenth Street at 3:08 p.m.
- A woman reported someone entered her apartment on Imperial Way while she was gone and took her purse and keys.
- A man whose estranged wife reported their son was bruised from a spanking by his father, reported at 10:14 p.m. that he believed his son was being sexually abused by someone while in his mother' care. The report was closed as "unfounded."
