MIAMI (AP) " Dan Uggla homered and drove in four runs to help the Florida Marlins beat Arizona 8-6 on Wednesday night in the first game of a doubleheader overshadowed by the death of the wife of Diamondbacks pitcher Scott Schoeneweis.
In Arizona, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said deputies found the body of 39-year-old Gabrielle Dawn Schoeneweis on the floor of the master bedroom in the family's home shortly after noon Wednesday.
Jorge Cantu, Cody Ross and Wes Helms also drove in runs for the Marlins in their second victory in their last nine games. Florida starter Chris Volstad (3-3) struck out a career-high nine in six innings and won for the first time since April 14.

LOS ANGELES (AP) " Russell Martin drove in the go-ahead run with an eighth-inning single to help Los Angeles complete a three-game sweep.
Orlando Hudson singled with one out in the eighth against J.J. Putz (1-3), who walked Andre Ethier before Martin lined the right-hander's 1-0 pitch to left field. The defending NL West champions improved their major league-best record to 29-13 and extended their division lead over San Francisco to 8 1/2 games.
Rookie left-hander Brent Leach (1-0) got his first major league win, and Jonathan Broxton pitched a scoreless ninth for his 11th save.
Reds 5, Phillies 1
CINCINNATI (AP) " Aaron Harang limited the NL's highest-scoring lineup to a solo homer, Brandon Phillips drove in three runs, and Cincinnati ended Philadelphia's winning streak at five games.
Harang (4-4) has alternated losses and wins all season. He helped the Reds snap a four-game losing streak that was their longest of the season.
Philadelphia averages 5.7 runs per game, the best in the league, but managed only Raul Ibanez's 14th homer in Harang's seven innings.
Jamie Moyer (3-4) remained winless in four May starts.
Ryan Hanigan homered for the Reds.
Braves 12, Rockies 4
ATLANTA (AP) " Yunel Escobar hit a three-run homer in a nine-run fourth inning and Atlanta routed Colorado for the second straight night.
The Rockies, who gave up 10 runs in the seventh inning of their 11-4 loss at Pittsburgh on Sunday, were tied 1-1 with the Braves before the big inning.
The Braves beat the Rockies 8-1 on Tuesday night, then set a season high with the 12 runs Wednesday. The nine-run inning was their biggest of the season.
Atlanta lost leadoff hitter Omar Infante in the sixth inning. He broke a bone in his left hand when hit by a pitch from Manny Corpas.
Javier Vazquez (4-3) was the winner, and Jorge De La Rossa (0-4) took the loss.

ST. LOUIS (AP) " Chris Carpenter returned to St. Louis' rotation with five scoreless innings, and Chris Duncan snapped a 1-for-21 slump with two hits and an RBI.
Carpenter (2-0) gave up three hits while throwing 67 pitches in his first outing since he strained a left rib-cage muscle April 14 at Arizona, and also his 100th career start with the Cardinals.
Pinch-hitter Micah Hoffpauir had a two-out RBI single in the ninth and the Cubs had two men on before Ryan Franklin struck out Reed Johnson for his 10th save.
Khalil Greene, relegated to a utility role while mired in a 2-for-23 slump that has prompted anxiety issues, added a seventh-inning sacrifice fly as a pinch hitter.
Ryan Dempster (3-3) was the loser.
Astros 6, Brewers 4
HOUSTON (AP) " Wandy Rodriguez pitched seven strong innings, Miguel Tejada and Hunter Pence both had two RBIs, and Houston ended Milwaukee's winning streak at six.

Rodriguez (5-2) allowed six hits and struck out five to win his fourth straight decision. Milwaukee's Yovani Gallardo (4-2) lost for the first time in six starts, allowing six runs and seven hits in five innings. Mike Cameron hit his eighth homer of the season for the Brewers.
Padres 2, Giants 1
SAN DIEGO (AP) " Kevin Kouzmanoff's homer was one of just four hits for San Diego against San Francisco in a matchup of the two lowest-scoring teams in the NL.
The Padres won their fifth straight game, matching their season high. San Francisco lost for the sixth time in seven games.
Chad Gaudin (1-3) won for the first time in five starts for San Diego, and Heath Bell pitched a perfect ninth for his 11th save. Jonathan Sanchez (1-4) took the loss.
Pirates 2, Nationals 1
WASHINGTON (AP) " Washington's Joel Hanrahan threw a two-out, 1-2 pitch to Adam LaRoche that bounced before it got to home plate, allowing Freddy Sanchez to score from third in the ninth inning.
The Pirates have won a season-high five straight, the last three adding to the misery of a Nationals relief corps whose combined record is 1-15. Washington has lost seven straight overall, and this was the first one in the streak when the Nationals failed to score at least five runs.
John Grabow (2-0) pitched the eighth inning for the victory, and Matt Capps worked the ninth for his eighth save. Hanrahan dropped to 0-2.
