RENO (AP) " State health officials say 31 new cases of swine flu have been confirmed in Nevada since the last update, most in the Reno area.
State Health Division spokeswoman Martha Framsted says there are now 84 confirmed cases in Nevada.
That includes 28 additional cases of the H1N1 virus in Washoe County. Of those, county health department spokeswoman Judy Davis says 15 are students at Mendive Middle School, which was shut down Thursday because of the flu outbreak.
The school was disinfected over the Memorial Day weekend and reopened Tuesday.
Washoe County now reports 50 total cases.
In southern Nevada, Clark County health officials report 29 confirmed cases.
Four cases also have been reported in Carson City and one in Lyon County.
There have been no swine flu deaths in Nevada.
