USDA Commodity Foods distribution Friday morning

RSVP Carson City volunteers will distribute USDA Commodity Foods, 9-11 a.m., Friday, May 29 at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St. Any needy family can be eligible. The household must sign the "Issuance Sheet" certifying that their household's annual income does not exceed 150 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. A picture ID or drivers license is required. Food may be picked up for the homebound or those unable to attend by bringing a signed note from them and their picture ID. Carson City Music Club meets June 8

The Carson City Music Club will meet 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, June 8 at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St. Carol Seebach, violin, and Michael Langham, piano, will be playing duets, including Schindler's List, Vivaldi's Autumn, and selections from Debussy and Kreisler. Tickets $8 at the door (17 and younger free). Membership not necessary. Refreshments served after the program. For information, call 720-9058.

Computer class offered at Library

Carson City Library's Computer Tutor will provide free one-hour computer training sessions, noon-2 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. These one-on-one sessions will cover the World Wide Web or Microsoft Word. Registration is required. Students should know how to use a keyboard. Students may sign up for a total of three, one-hour sessions. The Carson City Library is located at 900 N. Roop St. To reserve an hour with the Computer Tutor or information, call 887-2244.

CHS football booster sale Saturday

Support Senator football and find a great buy. Annual Carson High School Football Booster Rummage Sale, 8 a.m., Saturday, May 30, St. Paul's Lutheran Church Parking lot, 1201 Saliman Road. All proceeds benefit Carson High School football. For information, call 230-3241.
