Dodge awarded scholarship
Darla Dodge of Carson City has been awarded the Western Governors University Community College Excellence Scholarship. WGU offers more than 10 scholarships supported by a number of major corporations and foundations as well as special government appropriations serving more than 13,000 students, Western Governors University was founded by 19 U.S. governors, and is supported by more than 20 leading corporations and foundations including institutions such as AT&T, BearingPoint, Dell, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Hewlett-Packard, HCA, Microsoft, Oracle, Qwest, SunGard Higher Education, Sun Microsystems, and Zions Bank.
Nelson receives BA in ministry praxis from Visible School
David Nelson, of Wellington graduated from Memphis-based Visible School on May 16 with a bachelor's degree in ministry praxis. Nelson was one of 19 students from its music and worship programs.
Visible School began in 2000, Visible School a an independent music and worship arts college enrolling more than 90 students per year. Located in Lakeland, Tenn., Visible School educates students interested in careers as musicians, technicians, music business professionals and in the music ministry.
