Mile High Jazz Band presents Gents Sing Jazz, a program of big-band music featuring several male vocalists, at 8-10 p.m. Tuesday at Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson St.
Guest vocalist Kevin Reed's rich baritone will be featured in "Night and Day" and "Teach Me Tonight." Mark Williams brings his extensive experience in musical theater to his interpretations of "My Way," Come Fly With Me," and "Mac the Knife." Several instrumentalists from the band will show off their vocal talents: Trombonist Mike Allen will sing "Every Day (I Have the Blues);" saxophonist Speedy Garfin will sing the moving Kenny Rogers song "Through the Years;" and trumpeter Scott LeVal will sing "Beyond the Sea."
Sheryl Adams, main singer with the band, will join the gents for duet arrangements as well as perform several solos.
General admission is $5 at the door; free for age 18 and under. Dance instruction, 6-7:30 p.m. is $5 additional.
