Episcopal Social - The ladies of the Episcopal Church will hold a social at the house of Farmer Treadway. The affair will be a real pleasant one as all the Episcopal socials held in this city have been very pleasant indeed.

Holloween [sic] - The holiday was celebrated with usual vim. They took Logan's buggy from behind the Methodist Church and got one of Circe's wheel and put it in its place; they took Buckingham's gate and threw it in the creek at Treadways and moved Bliss's to Musgrove's hen house; Ardery's tennis grounds were filled with old gates ... Dan Kelly's boat was taken to Matt Brannan's porch.

Local children's home buildings to be razed to make room for state offices - According to Jerry Griepentrog, the children's home is destined for destruction and in the next six to 10 years, the buildings will be bulldozed.
