Tahoe Dance Band to perform Saturday

The Tahoe Dance Band will be featured from 7-10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14 at the monthly dance at the Carson Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive. Admission is $7. This will be the final dance at the Senior Center unless more volunteers step forward to assist in helping with the dances. For information, call 883-0703.

Douglas GOP meeting Thursday night

Douglas County Republican Central Committee's meeting on will be in the Faith/-

Genesis Room at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Nevada Gubernatorial Candidate Mike Montandon is the scheduled guest speaker. Social with refreshments begins at 7 p.m.

Membership meeting convenes at 7:30 p.m. and usually concludes by 9:30 p.m. Note: Prior to the meeting the Executive Board members will meet at 6 p.m. at Headquart-ers. Our annual Christmas Dinner will once again be at the Governor's Mansion on December 3rd.

Mark Twain birthday bash Friday night

Celebrate Mark Twain's 174th birthday, 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, at the Gold Hill Hotel, 1540 Main St., Gold Hill.

Enjoy a 5-course meal by renowned chef Randy Bryant and listen to Squeek Steel at the piano.
