Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• Ryan Matthew Pier, 21, a construction worker from Carson City, was arrested at 10:03 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of College Parkway on suspicion of felony possession of heroin. His bail was set at $2,500. Also arrested was Justin John Demuth, 20, unemployed of Carson City, on felony suspicion of possession of heroin. His bail was also set at $2,500. According to the arrest report, officers found the men in a vehicle outside a fast food business after someone reported they were using drugs. More than 20 balloons containing heroin and numerous items of paraphernalia were allegedly removed from the vehicle.
• Ralph Conway Jr., 40, a transient construction worker, was arrested at 7:51 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony preventing a person from reporting a crime. Bail was set at $5,000.
• John Schroeder, 42, a technician from Carson City, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday at Saliman Road and Shady Oak Drive on suspicion of gross-misdemeanor second-offense drunken driving and failure to maintain a single lane. Bail was set at $2,607.
• Jose Alcocer, 30, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 10;30 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony violation of an extended order of protection, misdemeanor probation violation and threatening phone calls. Bail was set at $14,132.
• A 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 5:50 p.m. Nov. 6 in the 3500 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor annoying a minor, indecent conduct, possession of false identification, driving without a valid license. He allegedly followed a 14-year-old girl around a thrift store, rubbing on himself and staring at her. Bail was set at $2,396.
• Randy Lee Brown, 27 of Carson City, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Nov. 7 in the 1800 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of gross misdemeanor child neglect and violation of a suspended sentence. Brown allegedly went car hopping with his 1-year-old son, barefoot and without warm clothing in 41-degree temperatures, in tow. A passerby reported to police seeing an intoxicated man pushing a baby stroller at Carson and Winnie streets. The child was turned over to his mother. Bail for Brown was set at $5,632.

• Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at 6:48 a.m.
• Residential burglary reports on Ruby Lane and Shenandoah Drive at 3:41 p.m.
• Accident at College Parkway and Roop Street at 4:41 p.m.
• Arrest of a shoplifter at Save Mart on North Carson Street at 8:36 p.m.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
• Coroner call on Stonehaven Court in Dayton at 6:41 a.m.
• A Dayton woman reported at 9:59 a.m. that "her fiance has been acting strange and he is now missing and has not contacted her a few days," the dispatch log states.
• Coroner call on Pebble Drive in Dayton at 2:16 p.m.
• A Mark Twain resident asked for police to come out at 3:26 p.m. to determine if he would be breaking any laws if he put some sheep down.
• Arrest on Osborne Lane in Mason Valley at 5:59 p.m.
• A Fernley woman reported two pit bulls broke down her fence to her backyard, and her Chihuahua was missing at 10:50 p.m.
