Obituary: Neal Jean Downes

Neal Jean Downes, 77, of Carson City, died Nov. 15, 2009, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 30, 1932, in Van Nuys, Calif., to Raymond and Helen (Kohler) Kirkpatrick. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 2003. Among her survivors are sons Scott Downes and Eric Downes both of Stagecoach, sisters and brothers-in-law Joan and Ray McCutchen of Stagecoach and Mary and Roger Sherwood of Indiana. Private services will be held at a later date. FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
