The Carson Nugget Steakhouse will host its monthly winemakers dinner at 5 p.m. Monday.
The dinner costs $65 and includes a five course meal prepared by master chef Nick DeMagistris and wine pairing by Twisted Oak Winery from Calaveras County.

The menu:
First course: Pan-seared Georges Banks seared sea scallops with sauce three ways; pumpkin cream, strawberry "gastrique" and pumpkin-strawberry duo, fresh varietal organic micro-greens paired with a 2006 "%#&@ Red Rhone Blend."
Second course: Cedar plank grilled Atlantic salmon with smoked potatoes, grilled balsamic mushrooms, blackberries, porcini-melange cream and organic "parsley" served with a 2007 Calaveras County Viognier.
Third course: Dry-aged black Angus sirloin, seasoned and smoked in house, with dried black currants marinated in Absolut Currant vodka, cinnamon smoked cauliflower with syrah compound butter paired with a 2004 Calaveras County "Syrah."
Fourth course: Pan-seared dorade with caramelized peaches, mixed greens, nectar "syrup," seasoned sweet potato "strings" and organic autumn "leaves" paired with 2007 Ruben's Blend "Rhone White Blend."
Fifth course: Bourbon braised turkey, slow cooked and served with cran-cherry marmalade, house made stuffing, toasted marshmallows, apple infused bourbon "gravy," paired with 2006 Pig Stai Dessert Wine.
The Fall Pie Trilogy: Apple pie with candied walnuts and cinnamon-maple glaze; pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream "sphere" and amaretto "syrup"; cherry pie with Belgian chocolate and mint "gastrique."
