WNMTC's production of 'The King and I' continues

The curtains will fall Sunday on the Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company's production of the Rogers and Hammerstein musical, "The King and I."

You still can catch it at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Bob Boldrick Theater, Carson City Community Center at 851 E. William St. Tickets are $20 general, $18 seniors and students, and $16 for ages 17 and younger. Call 445-4249.

'Dracula: The Musical?' to continue this weekend

The musical comedy, "Dracula: The Musical?" shows this weekend at the Brewery Arts Center's Black Box Theatre, 449 W. King St. The shows are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Strings in the Schools fall concert tonight

Strings in the Schools, Carson City Symphony's after-school program, will present a free concert at 7 p.m. today at the Plaza Conference Center, 211 E. Ninth St., Carson City.

About 80 string players, including Carson City public-, private-, and home-schooled students, will perform several pieces, from classics to folk and fiddle tunes.

Lacy J. Dalton to perform

Lacy J. Dalton is back on the Comstock and will be in concert 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 in the historic Piper's Opera House.

Pinkerton's 'Nutcracker' returns to Carson

Pinkerton Ballet Theatre presents its 21st annual production of "The Nutcracker" ballet on Thanksgiving weekend at the Carson City Community Center.

Performances are 7 p.m. Nov. 27-28, and 2 p.m. Nov. 29.

Toddlers can experience theater just for them

Toddler Theater presented by Wild Horse Children's Theatre, 10-11 a.m., at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St.

The show is designed for children ages 1-5. Working with the storyteller, children can take the stages as the characters in the books or can be part of the audience. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children younger than 10 and includes the production, admission to the museum and snacks. Tickets are limited. Call 775-887-0438.

Comedy show at CVI

"Dreams Do Come True!" for Kat Simmons and Dave Mencarelli, who will perform live 8-9 p.m. Saturday at Carson Valley Inn's Shannon Ballroom, Highway 395, Minden.
