Obituary: Elinor Skiles

Elinor Skiles, died on November 12, 2009, due to complications after surgery. She was born July 13, 1925, in Placerville Calif., to Pete and Ramona Bacoccini. She married Roy Skiles in 1943 and had four children, Janis O'Malley of Grand Junction, Colo., Dorothy Carroll of Camion, Calif., Patricia Erickson of Lincoln, Calif., and Susan Mosley of Gardnerville. Elinor was a Professional china painter and taught the art to many students. She made many creative things for her children and grandchildren. Elinor had 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Unity Church of Today at 1219 South Carson St. in Carson City (located in the Carson Mall at the north end of Gottschalks). Arrangements are in the trusted care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
