Deanna June (McNiel) Duncan, born June 20, 1945, passed from this earth and into heaven on November 20, 2009. Deanna was the beloved and cherished wife of Gary Duncan for nearly 47 years. Having met his sweet, pretty wife in a car accident when she was sixteen and he eighteen, he was instantly enamored by her charm, and she put more credit to her high school moniker, "Crash."
She was the beloved mother of her son Kurt, and her daughter, Michelle, and their respective spouses, Kristie Duncan and Rick Smith. She adored her five grandchildren: Grace, Noah, Austin, Chloe, and Sophie, and they found delight in her silly antics and unfailing love. She was also loved by her large family: Rowena (her sister) and Tom Renteria, Rich and Marianne Garvey, Terry and Robin Duncan, Billy and Sharon Duncan, Corine and Mike Renteria, nieces and nephews that were much more like her own children, cousins, and a multitude of friends that were instantly ingratiated to her through her warmth, quick wit, laughter, and outgoing personality. Deanna never knew a stranger. She would engage with a stranger like a dear old friend and give love without restraint.
Deanna was a long-time resident of Milpitas, but recently moved to Minden, Nev., where she found joy and respect working for Sen. David Parks. Deanna has left this earth far too soon for all those who knew her, but heaven is enormously blessed with her presence. She is preceded in death by her father, Willard, her mother, Lila June, and her sisters, Nancy and Beth.
