The Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Auxiliary Gift Shop will be holding its Holiday Open House from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. All merchandise in the gift shop will be 25 percent off, with the exception of See's candy, flowers and greeting cards.

The open house will highlight the shop's Christmas decor and promote all of the new holiday items. New this year are the Jim Shore Holiday Collectibles.

Also, don't miss the Bearington Plush Holiday Collection, Woodwick Candles, stocking stuffers and a wide variety of Christmas decorations and ornaments. A raffle will be held with several Christmas decorations as the prizes.

Start your holiday shopping early, as there are many unique gifts and bargains to be found. Refreshments will be served.

All proceeds will benefit the Auxiliary in support of the Regional Medical Center, nursing scholarships and regional healthcare needs.

Tired of cold weather and gloom? Come and join the Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Auxiliary for its holiday luncheon at 11 a.m. Dec. 12. The theme of the luncheon will be "South of the Border; Christmas in Latin America" and will take place at the Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino, 2171 Hwy. 50 East.

In addition to a Mexican-themed lunch, there will be a wide variety of entertainment to help celebrate and enjoy a different interpretation of the holiday season. A bake sale and a raffle will be part of the festivities.

Tickets are $25 and are available for sale at the Auxiliary Gift Shop located at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Last day to make a reservation and purchase tickets is Monday.

Put on your serape or sombrero and come for the fun. The community is invited
