Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• James Norman Astor, 39, of Carson City, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 2900 block of Menlo Drive on suspicion of felony robbery. Bail was set at $40,000. He allegedly stole two cases of beer from the Country Store on Aug. 31. When the clerk confronted him, Astor allegedly punched the clerk.
• A 23-year-old construction worker from Dayton was arrested at 3:15 a.m. on Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence.
• A 35-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 4:16 p.m. Tuesday on Fifth and Harbin streets on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving and failure to maintain lane. Bail was set at $1,239.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:
• A fence was cut and tools stolen from the Capital Glass yard on North Deer Run Road sometime during the weekend.
• Residential burglary report on Kennedy Drive at 4:37 p.m.
• Accident at Fairview Drive and Gordon Street at 5:07 p.m.
• A caller on Gordonia Drive reported at 6:13 p.m. seeing two juveniles steal a bicycle out of her yard. Her nephew and son chased after the bandits and her husband was driving around looking for the nephew and son.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:
• Report of two handguns missing from a home on Sunny Lane in Fernley at 8:19 a.m.
• Misdemeanor warrant arrest on Mason Avenue in Mason Valley at 9:07 a.m.
