V&T sign not befitting
$55 million project
Each time I drive to Dayton, I look that that sign for the "V&T Depot," you know, that sign just next to the dump sign.
You'd think after spending $55 million on the train project, they would have saved a couple of dollars to print up a nice sign. Instead, they use a scrap of lumber and print the words V&T Depot on it. A 6th grader could have done a better job.
Are they going to ask us to approve another bond to get up enough money to install a sign fitting a $55 million project? I hope this isn't an example of how the V&T will be run.

Can you prove pot is worse than booze?
Apparently there are still some people who believe that their fellow Nevadans should go to jail for using marijuana. Well, finally your beliefs are about to pay off. There are some fools down in Las Vegas (see www.mppnv.org for details) who are ready to give you $10,000.
The first person who can prove that marijuana is more dangerous than alcohol gets it, and surely if you think your neighbors should have their lives destroyed (by incarceration) if they use marijuana, then you must have access to some research or scientific studies that uphold your beliefs. Now is your chance. Dig out those research papers and get rich.

Dr. Paslov's column
To Dr. Eugene T. Paslov, I just wanted to thank you for your column. You are always a voice of reason and unbiased reporting. I often cut your column out to pass along to people who only get the news from the TV.
Keep up the good work.
