A Letter from General Grant: Governor Kinkhead received a letter from the General's private secretary confirming an invitation from the people of this state - with great pleasure - that he will come here as soon as he returns from Oregon.

Connections for electric service won't be made of any kind, will not be made without a meter. When a business is vacant, service will be stopped and will be restarted again after the installation of a meter. It is a perfectly equitable arrangement to which reasonable objection cannot be offered. Truckee River General Electric Co.

Mrs. Nels Glover and Miss Mamie Muldoon left, this morning, for San Francisco, where they will visit the fair Mesdames C.J. Guild, Leo Miller, W.H. Cavell and Isle Bair motored to Fallon yesterday and were luncheon guests at the home of Mrs. George McCracken.

Eight Carson City organizations and individuals have entered the Nevada Day parade to date, led by the annual popular Sade

The Carson City Gaming Alliance held a press conference today declaring their three casinos, Cactus Jack's, The Horseshoe and the Ormsby House drug-free casinos. The alliance was formed for the sole purpose of fighting drugs.
