A bedroom door with a sliding bolt on the outside was removed Wednesday from a South Carson City trailer in which two young boys were allegedly abused and locked in a bedroom by their parents.

Carson City Sheriff's Capt. Ken Sandage said he and Detective Daniel Gonzales returned with a search warrant to the Clear Creek Road home of Linda and Robert Williams about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The couple is being held in the Carson City Jail on charges of child abuse, false imprisonment and child neglect.

On Saturday, a deputy responding to a welfare check of the children allegedly found the boys locked inside a bedroom.

According to the police report, the boys were huddled together on the top bunk in a bedroom that also contained two toddler potties full of urine. The older child allegedly had two black eyes, while the younger boy had what looked like "road rash" on his face, said Sandage.

The child allegedly told a hospital employee on Friday that his mother had scrubbed his face with a Brillo pad.

Sandage said photographs of the home were taken on the night of the couple's arrests, but a second search was sought for gathering additional evidence.

He said when he and Gonzales arrived Wednesday, they found that someone had tidied up the trailer, and neighbors reported seeing Williams' family remembers removing bags from the trailer.

Also, while the arresting deputy reported boards were nailed on the inside of the window in the boys' room, the boards were not there during Wednesday's visit, said Sandage.

A preliminary hearing on the case is set for Oct. 16.

Linda and Robert Williams are each being held on $100,000 bail.
