Reno - Tickets for the 2009 Western Athletic Conference volleyball tournament are on sale at the University of Nevada ticket office by calling 348-PACK. The tournament will be held at a neutral site this season in Las Vegas on Nov. 23-25 at the Orleans Arena and cost for all session tickets is just $45. Different from past seasons is six of the nine teams will qualify for tournament based on regular season play.
Fans traveling to the tournament are encouraged to stay at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. Rates are $90 per night Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20-21 and $35 per night Sunday through Wednesday, Nov. 22-25, single or double occupancy, plus room tax and resort fee. Directions:
From McCarran International Airport: Take Swenson Street north to Tropicana Avenue. Turn left and head west, crossing Paradise Road, Las Vegas Boulevard (The Strip) and the Interstate 15 overpass. Continue west approximately two miles until you reach The Orleans on the northwest corner of West Tropicana Avenue and Arville Road.
