Applications are now available for the 2009 STOP Violence Against Women grants program.
The program is designed to develop and implement more effective law enforcement and court strategies to combat violent crimes against women. The money can also go toward developing and enhancing victim services in cases involving those crimes.
Application kits are available to groups on the attorney general's Web site, ag.state.nv.us, under Upcoming Events.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Nov. 11.
