RENO (AP) - About two dozen people rallied Thursday in downtown Reno in support of sweeping health care reform and urged the two Republican members of Nevada's congressional delegation to embrace the cause.

Demonstrators waved placards during the "Have a Heart, Save Lives" rally designed to drum up support from Sen. John Ensign and Rep. Dean Heller.

Ensign and Heller oppose Democrats' health care legislation.

Some demonstrators portrayed the Grim Reaper and Ghosts to represent Nevadans who have died due to a lack of health insurance.

Organizer Theresa Navarro says the event outside the federal building was among more than 40 similar rallies across the country Thursday.

It was sponsored by the Nevada Health Care for America Now coalition and the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada.
